Luke Sempka

Lukasz Sempka - Drummoyne Podiatry

Luke graduated in 2001 from the University of Western Sydney (Macarthur) in the pioneering university program Bachelor for Applied Science for Podiatry in NSW. Since graduating, Luke has been mentored by some of the leading Fellows in sports podiatry, sports titled and NSW institute of sports (NSWIS) physiotherapists and chiropractors and academics. Luke has the experience and dedication background to make accurate diagnosis, treatment and prevention plans for the most challenging  foot or gait disorders especially in sport, paediatrics (children) and general and foot care.

As Sports Lab is a special focus sports injury and prevention clinic, Luke is a member of Sports Medicine Australia (www.sma.org.au) and is also active within the Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (www.aapsm.org.au). The Academy is composed of dedicated sports practitioners focused on best practice for elite athletes and other allied practitioners, for which all of the Sports Lab practitioners are renowned for.

Luke has also been elected by his peers to the position of  Vice President of the Australian Podiatry Association (NSW & ACT) since 2010 and has been a long standing director of its board. Luke is also one of only few podiatrists Accredited by Australasian Podiatry Council.

In 2013 Luke was appointed a "ambassador" of the Australasian Conference for the Podiatry council in Sydney, Darling Harbour.

Luke is also a director of the multi-award winning podiatry practice, Eastwood Podiatry Clinic located in the Northern District near Ryde (www.eastwoodpodiatryclinic.com.au). Luke established this, his first clinic in 2005 before being approached by Sports Lab in Drummoyne to develop their podiatry department.

Luke's passion for his profession and the multidisciplinary and integrated podiatry approach allows him to do extensive volunteer work for events such as the Oxfam Trailwalker (www.trailwalker.oxfam.org.au), The Wilderness Society - WildEndurance (www.wilderness.org.au), Matthew Talbot Shelter and other charities and events. He has been an affiliate with Rebel Sports, The Athletes Foot, The running Company as a consultant and footwear fitting adviser as well as consulting with many personal trainers throughout the Sydney, including Vision Personal Training.

Luke's hobbies include:

-snow skiing and is a member of the Sourthern Alps ski club http://www.sasc-aus.com/which he & Hollie love going down each & every year to Thredbo & Perisher Valley.

-NRL national rugby league - he follows the Brisbane Broncos,

-triathlon racing - its a love hate relationship
